The apex of the year in North America meets the sleek grooves of the Southern Hemisphere via the Blisa mini-album from Brazilian producer Arthus. Label head of Totoyov and a rising producer, Arthus is also establishing himself as one of South America's finest minimal DJs with appearances at Surreal Park and D-EDGE in São Paulo. On his Rhizome Forms release, Arthus charts a dark & techy direction with five minimal grooves perfect for longform mixes and never-ending parties.

Blisa

The title track begins with a rugged drive alongside a hefty baseline to soothe dancefloor bodies. A mysterious background instrumental chorus provides context for the low-slung rhythm. Blisa functions as an ideal deep tech tool, maintaining energy with subtle pleasure.

Jigen

Jigen takes on a robotic vibe with a complex and quirky baseline that skillfully carries a lighter-than-air groove. A funky minimal melody brings a carefree feeling to the track while the dark metallic tones ensure both warm-up and afterhours versatility.

Kaguya

With a rolling groove, Kaguya immediately boosts the attitude of the mini-album. Arthus's careful production work adds layers of complexity and intrigue while showcasing his signature elegant production style. Rejoining vocalizations frame the drop before the groove settles into a laidback march.

Relaxado

The track is Relaxado, but from the first note Arthus displays his underground prowess. A casual cascade of pads stimulates while the addictive groove proves hypnotic. Looping messages are sure to drift about the dance floor subconscious for a while.

Taby

Taby closes the release on a sunny note while staying true to the vibey orientation. Optimistic percussion pairs with steady bass accented by bits of high-frequency light. The track comfortably cruises into a distant, dreamy horizon.
